After the fashion show we sampled a few of Brahm Mauer’s cocktails – a must and took a little tour of the room and we saw some familiar faces as well as some new ones behind the vendor booths. We also lost the Butler at Jewels Bespoke catering for at least a good 30 mins while he chatted with Nicolina and did a little Malt Whisky tasting.

Luluthia’s floral table design was a dream we also loved NDG Florists ‘Alison in Wonderland meets Vintage’ display too! Something a little more out of the ordinary was Marie Bertrands Bouquets which I could see a few of my brides having fun with. The Boudoir really did have everything from amazing vendors to amazing food from hiring high end Bice Catering to having some fun at the end of the evening with Beavertail’s being supplied for your sweet table.

I was invited this summer to a cocktail tasting offered by Brahm Mauer at the gorgeous Loft Hotel. I’ve tried many great caterers in Montreal but it was my first time hearing about a bar service.

Your Weddings’ Signature Drink – Passion Fruit Martini

Signature cocktails at weddings are a fun and easy personal touch that your guests will enjoy!

With the help of Montreal drink mixologist Brahm Mauer, I wanted to feature a perfect martini that is wedding signature drink approved!

Passion Fruit Martini
How to make the Passion Fruit Martini
1 1/2 Ounces of Vodka
5 Ounces Pineapple Juice
1/2 ounce of passion fruit syrup
Shake all your ingredients together and Strain into a martini glass

Finally:
Add creme de cassis which will sink to the bottom to layer the colors
It looks and tastes delicious!

RSVP Mag Launch:2

Tuesday night was host to the launch of the 2nd issue of Montreal’s Society Magazine RSVP. The location was quite hidden, in an empty larger loft space called WAVE. I had my doubts at first as to how the setup would be like but was very pleasantly surprised. The lighting and decor were ideal to match the industrial feel of the space. Brahm Mauer services setup the bar area perfectly as it became the center of all the socializing and gathering of the night. The touch of the Caroline Theoret makeup stations to blot all the “glowing” faces and add a bit of blush was a clever idea and was fully taken advantage of by me and the girls. I was too busy mingling to try the hors d’oeuvres provided by Le Pois Penche but by their presentation there was no doubt the taste must of matched the look….

Good looking crowd, great music, and representatives from pretty much every industry in the city made it an enjoyable night out in a distinct space. The magazine is now out in some of Montreal’s hottest spots and I managed to contribute some of my photographic eye to a few of the spreads in there as well, check check them out

GIN IS THE NEW VODKA

Now this was my kind of event: straight to the point, and to the drinking. Brahm Mauer, owner of Brahm Mauer Bar Services, hosted a mixology event at the Loft Hotel, to introduce his company to the media. Mauer explains his specialty: creating original and unseen martinis for special events. Lucky for me, I got to sample his extensive cocktail menu, from Champagne Sangrias to Chocolate Monkies.

Mauer doesn’t believe in last calls, at least when it comes to creativity. Combining the visual aesthetics with unexpected ingredients, along with a young and modern approach to bar services, Mauer found the recipe for success. With over 200 specialty martinis created by professional mixologists, clients are left with memorable experiences from power cocktails and dessert Martinis.

My favorite drink from the event was the Passion Fruit Cocktail. It’s so refreshing, and it’s the perfect way to stay hydrated in our last few weeks of summer. It’s so easy to make. Try it, and impress your friends with your new-found mixology skills at an upcoming BBQ.

On that evening, I got to sample delicious and creative drinks that were all made using the same base. They found a smart way to keep the prices low while offering something special and it can be as cheap as $25 per person for a fun and different evening.
